Eric Johnston was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is the son of Canadian professional wrestler “Bullwhip Johnson”. At a young age, after seeing his father on the world stage, Eric was bitten by the proverbial “Performance Bug”.

At age 6 Eric enrolled in his first break dance class. From there he moved on to Tap, Jazz. Ballet, Hip Hop, and Musical theatre. Eric competed in dance across Ontario for the following 7 years.

After hanging up his dancing shoes he took his talents to the classical theatre stage. In 4 years Eric was the lead in over 10 major productions. At age 18 Eric auditioned and was accepted to the Humber College Theatre Performance Program, a program that auditions 500 and only accepts 35.

After a year at Humber, Eric realized his true love was for Film and Television. In the following year Eric acted in over 30 productions, including Short Films, Indi features, commercials and even major productions (Degrassi TNG, The Boarder, Happy Town). In 2010 Eric took his talents across country to the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, where he auditioned alongside hundreds of students for Vancouver Film School (one of the top film schools in North America). Eric was accepted into the prestigious Acting for Film and Television program. In 2012 he graduated top of his class.

Eric is not only a graduate of the Vancouver Film School 1 Year acting program and a working actor. He is working his way up in the Canadian Stand Up Comedy scene, performing up to 3 nights a week at the top comedy clubs, opening for top Canadian comedians.

In the summer of 2012 Eric was cast in the Smash Hit Children’s Co-viewing Reality Game Show “SPLATALOT”, a show that is seen in over 150 countries world wide. Eric plays the cocky archer “VANE”

Eric now runs and performs at a monthly comedy show in his home town of Stoney Creek called “COMEDY IN THE CREEK”, a show that showcases some of Canada’s top veteran and up and coming comedians”
