Zameer was born the youngest of four children in Pakistan. The family moved to Saudi Arabia, where he spent most of his childhood. Access to music, however, didn’t come easy. “It wasn’t looked upon as a good thing in Saudi Arabia. My brother used to smuggle music in for us, so we listened to whatever he liked.” For Rizvi, that meant early influences from 80s metal bands like Poison, Motley Crüe, and Guns n’ Roses.

Rizvi immigrated to Canada in 1995. By 2005, he became known as a rising star in Toronto’s music scene.

In 2008, he released his debut single “Win or Defeat” which was licensed as the theme song to the 2010 Paralympic Games. His debut album, From Under the Bleachers, found Billboard success, with the single “Glory of Love” reaching #73 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. In 2015, Zameer’s US debut single “Crazy” featuring Canadian singer Mia Martina reached #42 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club charts.
Rizvi is releasing his new track “Take” in January 2016. It’s produced by 13-time Juno Winner Gavin
Brown and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Jordan Young.

Zameer is available for corporate events, private shows, milestone celebrations (birthday, anniversary), fundraisers, festivals, and more.
