Gloryhound rewards its listeners with a distinctive brand of unbridled rock. The band produces a heavy, pulsating rhythm driven by two crunchy guitars, meshed with the band’s trademark powerful vocals. Decked in leather and jeans, Gloryhound is a bare bones rock quartet, molded from years of cranking bands like The Ramones and Iggy Pop. The band is no stranger to the stage, touring with Matt Mays and El Torpedo, playing with The Trews, and headlining several shows across the East Coast.
Gloryhound represents the collaboration of lead singer, song writer and rhythm guitar player Evan Meisner, David Casey who plays lead and sings back up, Shaun Hanlon who plays the drums and Jeremy MacPherson who rocks the bass. Together they specialize in bringing back the fun of rock and roll. The band’s new album resurrects the seedy underbelly that rock music once had. Produced by Robbie Crowell, the record was recorded in the band’s hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The record was tracked in the Sonic Temple and the Echo Chamber, and mixed by Lil Thomas in the Temple. The band sent their record to New York to have it mastered by Fred Kevorkian (White Stripes, Iggy Pop, Willie Nelson). It’s heavy, thick and packed with thirteen swaggering tracks. The album is set to be released in November of ’09. Stay tuned and beware the hound.
Gloryhound is available for corporate events, private shows, milestone celebrations (birthday, anniversary), fundraisers, festivals, and more.
