Ed Roland hails from Stockbridge, GA and is the founding member of the rock band Collective Soul. The band has sold over 10 million albums in its 2-decade history and continues to sell out venues around the world. Collective Soul has experienced high levels of mainstream success with numerous radio hits and gold and platinum selling albums, on which Ed Roland is often the primary writer and producer.
Collective Soul released their highly anticipated 9th studio album titled See What You Started By Continuing in summer 2014 as part of the band’s 20th anniversary. As a BMI award winning songwriter, Ed Roland has charted 7 #1 singles on Rock Radio as well as numerous other hits. Songs include “Gel”, “Better Now”, “Heavy”, “Hollywood”, “Shine”, “The World I Know”, “December” and many more.
The band was embraced by a new generation of listeners when their song “Tremble My Beloved” was featured in the hit movie Twilight and its multi-platinum soundtrack. Ed Roland was recently inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and continues to give back to his hometown through various charitable and philanthropic causes. His side project, Ed Roland and the Sweet Tea Project, released their debut album titled Devils ‘n Darlins, summer of 2013.
