Jerusalem in My Heart was founded by Montreal resident and Lebanese national Radwan Ghazi Moumneh in 2005 as an art project consisting of contemporary Arabic and electronic music in collaboration with 16mm film projections and strategically oriented lighting installations, to explore the relationships between music, visuals, and audience. Though well known on the city’s art scene, performances have been intermittent, usually occurring once or twice annually.

The range of performers can either be Moumneh solo — he is an established recording and live engineer, and a producer as well as a composer — or with up to 35 participants. In 2011, he began working intensely in a trio with French musician Jérémie Regnier and Chilean filmmaker and visual artist Malena Szlam Salazar. The group collaboration resulted in them signing to Montreal’s indie Constellation Records and releasing their debut album, Mo7it Al-Mo7it (Ocean of the Ocean), in March of 2013.

Jerusalem in My Heart is available for corporate events, private shows, milestone celebrations (birthday, anniversary), fundraisers, festivals, and more.
