Few twenty-four year old blues/rock guitarists can say they have opened for BB King on tour in the US, much less to have opened for him on his final tour. This is one of Hamish Anderson’s many legacies, as he finished a tour with the legendary Blues guitarist in September and October 2014. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Hamish performed over forty shows in the US in 2015, including seven showcases during SXSW, as well as shows with Los Lobos, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Wynona Judd and Blues Traveler.

Hamish has been profiled in The Blues Magazine (UK) as part of their “ Future of the Blues” issue and received an International Independant Music Award for Best Blues Song for “Burn”. In 2014 when RevoltTV asked legendary guitarist Gary Clark Jr. who to watch under the age of 30, he cited Hamish first.

Having made a name for himself in Australia for his impressive live show that encompasses a mix of electric blues-soaked rock and modern roots songs, Hamish’s self-titled debut EP was released independently in 2013. His second EP, Restless, released in 2014, with the single, “Burn,” earning stellar reviews. Hamish released “Trouble” in April 2016 and will be dropping his debut album in the Fall of 2016.

Currently writing to finish his debut full length album, with nine songs recorded already by 7 time Grammy-award winning producer/ mixer Jim Scott (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Ryan Bingham, Wilco), Hamish is enlisting the help of heavy hitting industry vets. His studio band includes Johnny Radelat (Gary Clark Jr) and Aaron Sterling (John Mayer) on drums, Chris Bruce (Seal, Meshell Ndegeocello) on bass, Jerry Borger (Jonathan Wilson) on keys. All of his music has been mastered by Magic Garden Mastering (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys and The Arcs).

As well as a having a solidly building touring schedule, he is ready to share his signature Australian blues/rock sound with the world.

Hamish Anderson is available for corporate events, private shows, milestone celebrations (birthday, anniversary), fundraisers, festivals, and more.
